Drugs raiders break into wrong house; TURNING the spotlight on crime in the Colne Valley. The column is compiled with the co-operation of Neighbourhood Watch Liaison:


* BURGLARY -Cowlersley, Jan 6. Three raiders forced side door of house to get in and demand drugs from householder. The intruders then realised they had wrong house and made off.


Linthwaite, Jan 10. Raider got in through unlocked back kitchen window and stole TV and hairdressing equipment and got out using keys left in back door lock. Linthwaite, Jan 10. Burglar got in through side door and stole ring and chain saw. Salendine Nook, Jan 8. Europrofile lock on upvc conservatory door snapped to get into rest of house. Electrical goods stolen. Football Ground, Fall Lane, Marsden, Jan 6. Padlock cut from wooden shutter then window prised open to get inside sports club. Metal shutter of bar area lifted and items stolen.The new coffee bar will be strictly about the java. There will be no soda, perhaps a small selection of teas and maybe some pastries and other small snack items, but only if they accentuate the coffee, Holliday is quick to add.And once inside they threatened a lone member of staff before helping themselves to cash and cigarettes.Holliday and the Massenats eventually hope to buy a coffee farm in Guatemala together, but have settled for running Elemental until the U.S. dollar strengthens against the Guatemalan quetzal, making their dreams of owning land in the mountains of Central America more affordable.The company hopes to complete renovations at the 3,000-square- foot facility and open the finished coffee bar by April 1.One was around 5ft 9ins and of slim build while the other was 5ft 7ins of proportionate build.
