Break-ins and thefts in the districts


Crimewatch TURNING the spotlight on crime in the Huddersfield district. The column is compiled with the co-operation of Neighbourhood View Liaison: * BURGLARY - Almondbury, June 14. Smashed window panel in Upvc door, obtained entry and developed tidy search of complete dwelling. Keys stolen. Waterloo, June 17. Utilised spade acquired from backyard shed to prise open wood window body at rear. Entry acquired, triggering alarm - next to nothing stolen. Almondbury, June 17. Compelled door to enter secure wood shed in rear backyard. Almost nothing appears to have been stolen. Kirkburton, June sixteen. Gained entry to detached garage by removing roof tiles, triggering injury. Quite possibly disturbed as nothing at all stolen. Emley, June 19. Attacked padlock and bolt on non-integral garage on farmland to get entry and steal resources and air rifles.


* THEFT FROM Man or woman -Moldgreen, June 17. Five suspects approached victim and asked for time. An individual then grabs victim's handbag, knocking contents on to the floor. Suspects then make off, taking some of victim's residence. Suspect one: white male, 17-eighteen, approx 5ft 9ins, skinny, wearing dark jacket and blue jeans suspect two: white male, close to 17, about 5ft 9ins, medium produce, wearing darkish sweatshirt and dark tracksuit bottoms suspect 3: white male, just about 17, about 5ft 8ins, skinny, putting on orange major and jeans. Other two suspects had been white males.


* THEFT - Almondbury, June 15. Amount of paving slabs stolen from backyard. Clayton West, June 17. Stole bed settee and child gate from driveway. Grange Moor, June 17. Stole pedal cycle from garden. Emley, June eighteen. Stole Yamaha motor bicycle from underneath a tarpaulin in backyard. Guy afterwards arrested and charged. Kirkburton, June 21. Stole lead from house roof.


* THEFT FROM Auto -Skelmanthorpe, June 18. Compelled nearside front lock of car to achieve entry and steal satnav. Skelmanthorpe, June twenty. Entered insecure vehicle on driveway and stole Ipod and wallet. Skelmanthorpe, June 20. Smashed rear driver's aspect quarterlight window, searched glove compartment and boot and stole laptop. Skelmanthorpe, June 21. Entered safe vehicle on driveway by unidentified means that, and stole laptop and satnav.


* THEFT OF Automobile - Scissett, June 23. Red Daihatsu Fourtrack H244 WHD stolen.


* CRIMINAL Injury - Almondbury, June 20. Slashed rear offside tyre on car. Lepton, June 17. Kicked nearside wing mirror. Clayton West, June 18.


Suspect throws a tent peg and other particles at vehicle, producing scuffs and marks to paintwork. Almondbury, June twenty. Slashed rear offside tyre on vehicle. * ARSON - Scissett, June 19. Set fire to two cars parked following to industrial estate. Skelmanthorpe, June eighteen. Set fire to fence panel.


* Attempted BURGLARY - Lepton, June 14. Taken out beading from greenhouse.
